this year ended with a bang. from leaving for the US last September to my dad's incident last December. but it's time to put those behind and what better way to start the year than by making new year resolutions which i won't follow LOL. but since i'm writing it here it'll remind me everytime i check this blog. so without further adieu, my new year's resolutions:
1) EXERCISE. time to lose gained weight from the holidays! it's also time for me to get my cardio up since heart disease is in our genes. playing badminton every tuesday and thursday and doing home work-out 5 times a week sounds pretty good. i'll also include having proper diet here. no more fatty foods ( good luck, lol )!
2) BE STRONG. homesickness has been my main problem ever since i arrived in the US and the only solution i can think of is talking to other people. but fact of the matter is, they won't always be there for me. so for this year, whenever i feel homesick, i'll just suck it up and be strong. i won't bother people with my problems because i know they have a lot of problems too, probably worse than mine. i'm the kind of guy who just wants to vent out emotions to someone but i have to change that. gah. changing attitude has never been easy but i'll do my best.
3) TIME TO SHINE. this line always puts me into persepective. last year i was living a laid back life. badminton every night, drinking every other night ( if not every night ), sleeping late, waking up late, and whatever else laid back things i used to do. but last September when i arrived here in the US, i knew my life was going to completely change, and it did. it's time for me to start waking up early to go to work. it's time to start helping my parents and taking care of them as well. it's time to start planning for my future and my career. it's time to start changing from a laid back life to a serious one.
it's time to shine..
happy new year everyone!
